Candle care.

Welcome to Garden of Adonis, where the art of candle care is as essential as the enchanting fragrances we offer. Below are some guidelines to ensure you get the most from your hand-poured candle. Follow these instructions to maintain a safe, enjoyable, and long-lasting candle experience.

First Burn

Allow the candle to burn until the entire surface has turned to liquid wax. This helps prevent "tunneling" and ensures an even burn in subsequent uses. This may take approximately 2-4 hours, depending on the size of your candle.

Trimming the Wick

The wooden wicks are pre-trimmed to an appropriate length for the initial candle burning. As the candle burns, the wicks will naturally shorten. Therefore, there is no need for additional manual trimming before burning the candle.

Subsequent Burns

Keep the candle lit for a maximum of 3-4 hours during each subsequent use to avoid overheating. Extinguish the candle if the flame becomes too high or flickers excessively.

Extinguishing the Candle

Use a snuffer or gently blow on the candle to extinguish the flame. Avoid blowing too hard, as this can cause hot wax to splatter.

Avoid Moving a Hot Candle

Allow the candle to cool and solidify before moving it. Hot wax can cause burns or damage surfaces.

Burn on Heat-Resistant Surface

Always place the candle on a heat-resistant surface and away from flammable materials.

Keep Away from Drafts

Avoid burning candles in drafty areas, as this can cause uneven burning and excessive smoke.

Storage

Store candles in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight to prevent color fading.

Discontinue Use

Discontinue use when there is 1/2 inch of wax remaining at the bottom of the jar.
